Customer Portal Overview

The Trade2Base customer portal is a branded, mobile-friendly web page that gives your customer a real-time view of their job — no app download, no account creation, no login required. They get a unique link and tap it to see everything relevant to their work.

What the portal is

Every job in Trade2Base generates a unique portal URL. When you share this link with your customer, they open a page that shows only the data for their specific job. The portal is hosted by Trade2Base — there is nothing to install or configure beyond adding your logo and brand colour.

What customers can see and do

Track job status

See where their job is in the workflow: Booked, En Route, In Progress, Complete.

View engineer photos

See before and after photos uploaded by your engineer during the visit.

Sign quotes

Read and digitally sign a quote without needing to print or scan anything.

Pay invoices

Pay outstanding invoices via Stripe using a debit or credit card.

View documents

Access compliance certificates, Gas Safe records, and any other documents you attach to the job.

Leave a review

Submit a review via the portal, which you can forward to Google or display on your website.

Sharing the portal link

1
Open the job

Navigate to the job you want to share the portal for.

2
Click "Share Portal"

The Share Portal button is at the top of the job page, next to the job status.

3
Copy or send

Copy the link to paste it anywhere, or click Send via WhatsApp or Send via Email to have Trade2Base send it directly to the customer's contact details.

Customising the portal

Go to Settings → Portal to set your logo and brand colour. The portal header will show your logo, and buttons and accent colours will match your brand colour. This makes the portal feel like part of your business, not a generic third-party tool.

Share the link at booking, not at completion

Tradespeople who share the portal link when they book a job — not just when it's done — report far fewer inbound calls asking “when is the engineer coming?” or “what time will they arrive?”. Customers who can track job progress call significantly less. Share early and save yourself the interruptions.
