Export your customers, jobs and invoices from your current platform as a CSV file. We provide platform-specific guides below — or our support team can walk you through it.

Send your export file to our UK support team. We map and import your customers, job history and contact details into your Trade2Base account — typically within 1 business day.

Set up and verify

Review the imported data with our support team on a 30-minute screen share. We will help you connect Xero or QuickBooks, set up your quote templates and configure your first campaigns.

Frequently asked questions

Will I lose any data during migration?

No. We import your existing data before you cancel your old platform — so you always have both live. We recommend running both systems in parallel for 1–2 weeks until you are comfortable with Trade2Base.

What data can be imported?

Customer names, addresses, email and phone numbers, job history and notes, invoice history and outstanding balances. Quote templates and complex automation rules need to be rebuilt in Trade2Base — our team will help you do this on the onboarding call.

How long does migration take?

For most platforms, migration takes 1–2 hours of your time to prepare the export, and 1 business day for our team to import it. The onboarding call is 30 minutes. Most businesses are fully live within 3–5 days.

Is there a cost to migrate?

Migration support is included free of charge for all businesses joining on a 3-month or longer plan. For monthly plans, we charge a one-off migration fee of £49 which covers the import, verification and onboarding call.

Can I import open quotes and invoices?

Yes — we can import outstanding invoices so your receivables are visible in Trade2Base from day one. Open quotes need to be recreated manually (or using your existing template data as a base) as quote states vary by platform.

What if I have Gas Safe certificates or compliance documents?

We can import compliance certificate metadata (customer, date, expiry, reference number) as document records in Trade2Base. PDF files need to be uploaded manually — we provide a bulk upload tool to make this quick.
