Software for trade businesses that
tells you where the work came from
Most job-management tools can tell you what you invoiced. Almost none can tell you which advert, directory or recommendation actually produced it. That gap is why Trade2Base exists.
The problem we set out to solve
A sole trader's admin lives in four places at once: quotes in Word, invoices in a spreadsheet, enquiries split across WhatsApp, email and missed calls, and marketing spend going out every month with no way to tell which part of it paid for itself.
The software alternatives weren't built for this. Salesforce and HubSpot are sales platforms. QuickBooks and Xero are accounting tools. Jobber and ServiceM8 are strong on scheduling but weak on marketing. None of them were built by people who understood that a plumber's working week looks nothing like an office worker's.
So Trade2Base was built around one question a trade business can rarely answer: of the money that came in this month, which enquiry produced it, and where did that enquiry come from? Everything else — jobs, quotes, invoices, the customer portal — exists to keep that chain intact from first call to cleared payment.
What we believe
Every feature exists because a tradesperson needed it. We don't add things because competitors have them — we add things because they make running a trade business easier.
VAT handling, CIS-aware invoicing, certificate storage and GBP pricing — built around how UK trade businesses actually operate, not translated from a US product.
You're on site, not in an office. Everything in Trade2Base works on a muddy phone in a boiler cupboard. The desktop version is a bonus.
We don't sell your customer data and we don't harvest it for advertising. It's yours, it lives in the UK/EU, and you can export the lot to CSV at any time — including after you cancel.
Support goes to a UK inbox read by the person who writes the software. Not a tier-one script, not a ticket queue — the one who can actually fix it.
The roadmap is short and it's driven by what the people paying for it ask for. Small enough that a good suggestion can be live the same week.
Who actually builds this
Trade2Base is built and run in the UK by one person. Not a department, not an offshore support desk — one engineer who writes the code, answers the email and decides what gets built next.
That is a real trade-off and it's worth being straight about it. You will not get 24/7 phone cover or an account manager. What you get instead is that the person who reads your email is the person who can change the software, and a request that makes sense can be live in days rather than sitting in someone else's backlog for a quarter.
Trade2Base is new. There is no pretending otherwise on this site — no invented customer count, no borrowed logos, no results from businesses that don't exist. When there are real numbers worth showing, they will appear with the name of the business that produced them and their permission to publish it.
