Syncing your job calendar to Google or Outlook

Trade2Base generates a read-only calendar feed (iCal format) for your jobs. You can subscribe to this feed from Google Calendar, Outlook, Apple Calendar or any calendar app — so your jobs appear alongside your personal and business appointments.

How to set up calendar sync

1
Go to Settings > Calendar Sync

Open Settings from the main navigation and select Calendar Sync from the left-hand menu.

2
Click Generate calendar feed

Trade2Base creates a unique iCal URL for your account. This URL is private to you — do not share it publicly.

3
Copy the URL

Click the copy button next to the iCal URL to copy it to your clipboard.

4
Add to your calendar app

In Google Calendar: click Other calendars > From URL and paste. In Outlook: click Add calendar > Subscribe from web and paste.

5
Your jobs will now appear in your external calendar

Jobs typically update within 15-30 minutes of changes made in Trade2Base.

The calendar feed is read-only. Changes made in Google Calendar or Outlook will not sync back to Trade2Base. Edit jobs in Trade2Base to keep everything in sync.

Frequently asked questions

Can individual engineers sync only their own jobs?

Yes. Each engineer can generate their own personal iCal feed from their Profile page. Their feed only includes jobs assigned to them, so they see only their own schedule.

How often does the calendar update?

Most calendar apps refresh subscribed calendars every 15-30 minutes. Google Calendar typically updates within 15 minutes. If you need an immediate refresh, you can manually refresh the calendar subscription in your calendar app settings.

Can I sync to Apple Calendar?

Yes. Open Apple Calendar and go to File > New Calendar Subscription, then paste the iCal URL. Apple Calendar on iPhone and Mac will both subscribe to the same feed once it is set up on your device.

Can I add job addresses to calendar events?

Yes. Trade2Base includes the job site address in each calendar event by default. In Google Calendar and Apple Calendar, this appears as a location link you can tap to open in Maps.
