Connect Google Ads & Google Business Profile to Trade2Base

Google is where most trade customers start their search. Connecting Google Ads, Google Business Profile, and Local Services Ads to Trade2Base gives you a complete picture of how your Google presence turns into booked jobs and revenue — all visible in one dashboard alongside your other marketing channels.

Connecting Google Ads

1
Open Integrations in Trade2Base

Go to Settings → Integrations and find the Google Ads card. Click "Connect".

2
Sign in with Google

You'll be taken to a Google sign-in screen. Use the Google account that has Manager or Standard access to your Google Ads account.

3
Select your Google Ads account

If you manage multiple Ads accounts (or use a Manager account / MCC), select the specific account you want to connect to Trade2Base.

4
Grant permissions

Trade2Base requests read-only access to your campaign performance data and the ability to import conversion events. Click "Allow".

5
Confirm and sync

Click "Connect account". Trade2Base will begin pulling in campaign, ad group, keyword, and cost data. Initial sync takes up to 15 minutes.

Setting up call tracking

Many trade jobs start with a phone call, not a form submission. Trade2Base call tracking assigns a unique forwarding number to each Google campaign so you know exactly which ad generated each call.

1
Enable call tracking

Go to Settings → Integrations → Google Ads → Call Tracking and toggle it on. Trade2Base provisions a unique tracking number for each active Google campaign.

2
Update your ads

Trade2Base will show you the tracking numbers assigned to each campaign. Update your Google Ads call extensions or call-only ads to use these numbers. Calls forward to your real number automatically.

3
Call records in Trade2Base

Each call to a tracking number creates a call log entry in Trade2Base with the caller's number, duration, time, and which campaign triggered it. You can convert the call into a customer record and job in one click.

Syncing Google Business Profile reviews

Trade2Base can sync your Google Business Profile reviews so they appear alongside your Trustpilot and Facebook reviews in one place, and alert you when a new review arrives.

Connect Google Business Profile

In Settings → Integrations, find Google Business Profile and click "Connect". Sign in with the Google account that owns or manages your Business Profile.

Select your business location

If you have multiple Business Profile locations, select the one to sync. Trade2Base pulls in all existing reviews and then monitors for new ones in real time.

Reply from Trade2Base

New reviews appear in your Reviews dashboard. You can reply directly from Trade2Base — replies are posted to your Google Business Profile automatically. Use the AI reply assistant for a first draft.

Automated review requests

Enable the post-job review automation to send customers a direct link to your Google review page after a job is marked complete. This is the fastest way to grow your star rating.

Local Services Ads connection

Google Local Services Ads (LSAs) appear at the very top of search results with a “Google Guaranteed” badge. Trade2Base can connect to your LSA account to pull in leads automatically.

Link your LSA account

Go to Settings → Integrations → Google Local Services Ads and click "Connect". You'll need to sign in with the Google account managing your LSA profile.

Automatic lead import

When a customer contacts you through an LSA listing, the lead is automatically created in Trade2Base as a new enquiry, complete with the customer's name, phone number, and job type.

Track cost-per-lead

Trade2Base pulls your LSA spend from the API and shows cost-per-lead and cost-per-booked-job alongside your standard Google Ads campaigns in the Analytics dashboard.

Tracking cost-per-booked-job from Google

Cost-per-click and cost-per-lead tell you part of the story. Trade2Base completes the picture by connecting ad spend to jobs actually booked and invoiced.

Google Ads campaign view

In Analytics → Campaigns, filter by source "Google Ads". Each campaign row shows impressions, clicks, spend, leads created, jobs booked, and revenue. Sort by cost-per-booked-job to identify your best-performing campaigns.

Keyword-level attribution

Drill into any campaign to see which keywords are driving actual booked jobs versus which are generating clicks with no conversion. Pause poor performers with confidence.

Conversion import

Trade2Base imports booked-job conversions back into Google Ads automatically. This trains Google's Smart Bidding algorithm to find more customers likely to book — not just likely to click.

UTM tracking tip

For accurate attribution, ensure all your Google Ads destination URLs include UTM parameters. Use auto-tagging in Google Ads (enabled by default) and Trade2Base will read the gclid parameter from portal visits to tie sessions to specific clicks.

Next steps

With Google connected, check the Campaigns dashboard to compare Google and Meta performance side by side. If you're not yet running Google Local Services Ads, it's worth exploring — for many trade businesses it's the highest-converting paid channel available.
