Using the Job Pipeline View

The Pipeline view gives you an instant visual snapshot of all your jobs, organised into columns by status so you can see exactly where everything stands at a glance.

Pipeline view gives you an instant visual of your work in progress — especially useful at the start of each day to see what's due and what's overdue.

How to use the Pipeline view

1
Go to Jobs → click the "Pipeline" view toggle

In the main navigation, open Jobs. In the top right you will see view toggles: List, Pipeline, and Calendar. Click "Pipeline" to switch to the kanban board layout.

2
Jobs are displayed as cards in columns by status

Each column represents a job status: New, Quoted, Accepted, In Progress, Completed, and Invoiced. Every job appears as a card showing the job title, customer name, scheduled date and assigned engineer.

3
Drag and drop job cards between columns to update their status

Click and hold any job card, then drag it into a different column. When you release, the job status updates automatically. No need to open the job record to move it through your workflow.

4
Click any card to open the full job detail

Tap or click any job card to open the full job record in a side panel or full-page view, where you can edit all details, add notes, attach photos and send messages.

5
Use the filter bar to narrow by engineer, tag, date range or job type

At the top of the Pipeline view, use the filter bar to show only the jobs you need. Filter by assigned engineer, job tag, scheduled date range, or job type to focus on a specific slice of your workload.

Frequently asked questions

Can I customise which status columns appear in the Pipeline view?

Yes. If you have created custom statuses in Settings → Custom Statuses, they appear as additional columns in the Pipeline view automatically. You can reorder columns to match your preferred workflow.

Does moving a card in Pipeline view trigger any automations?

Yes. Any automation you have set up based on job status changes will fire when you drag a card to a new column — for example, sending a customer notification when a job moves to In Progress.

Can I use Pipeline view on mobile?

Pipeline view is fully available on the Trade2Base mobile app. On smaller screens, scroll horizontally to see all columns. Drag and drop works with a long-press gesture.

How do I see all jobs, not just those assigned to me?

By default, Pipeline view shows all jobs if you have admin or manager access. Engineers with limited permissions only see jobs assigned to them. Use the engineer filter to focus on a specific person's pipeline.
