Day, Week and Month Views on the Schedule
The Trade2Base schedule gives you a visual overview of all your booked jobs. Switch between day, week, and month views depending on how far ahead you need to look, and use engineer colour coding to instantly see who is doing what.
Opening the Schedule section
Click Schedule in the left-hand sidebar. The schedule opens on today's date in week view by default. You'll see all booked and confirmed jobs placed in the calendar at their scheduled times.
Switching between views
At the top of the schedule you'll see three tabs: Day, Week, and Month. Click any tab to switch instantly.
Shows a single day as a vertical timeline from early morning to evening. Each job appears as a block at its scheduled start time. Use this for a detailed look at today's workload or to plan a specific day in detail.
Shows seven days side by side. This is the most useful default view for planning ahead — you can see the whole working week and spot gaps or busy days at a glance.
Shows the entire month as a grid. Job counts appear in each day cell. Click a day to expand it and see the individual jobs. Use month view for high-level capacity planning.
Colour coding by engineer
Each engineer on your team is assigned a unique colour. Job blocks on the schedule use that colour so you can instantly see who is booked where. The colour legend appears at the top-right of the schedule, next to the engineer filter.
Go to Team, click an engineer's name, and select a new colour from their profile. The change updates across the schedule immediately.
Dragging jobs to reschedule
In day and week view, you can drag a job block to a new time slot to reschedule it. Click and hold the job block, drag it to the new time, and release. Trade2Base updates the job start time automatically. If the customer has notifications enabled, they will receive an update about the new time.
Drag-to-reschedule is only available in day and week view. Switch away from month view if you need to reorder jobs by time.
Clicking a job to open it
Click any job block on the schedule to open a side panel with the full job details — customer name, address, assigned engineer, status, and notes. From here you can click “Open job” to go to the full job record.
Filtering by engineer
Use the engineer filter at the top of the schedule to show only jobs assigned to one or more specific engineers. This is helpful when you have a large team and want to focus on one person's schedule. Click All engineers to reset the filter.
