Customising your customer portal branding

The customer portal is where your clients approve quotes, pay invoices and view job history. You can brand it with your logo, business colours and a custom message so it looks like your own platform.

How to set up portal branding

1
Go to Settings > Customer Portal

In the main navigation, open Settings and select Customer Portal from the left-hand menu.

2
Upload your company logo

Click Upload logo and choose a PNG or SVG file. The recommended size is 200x60px. Your logo appears in the portal header and on quote and invoice emails sent from the portal.

3
Set your brand colour

Enter a hex colour code or use the colour picker to choose your primary brand colour. This colour appears on buttons, headings and accents throughout the portal.

4
Add a custom welcome message

Enter a short message shown when customers first log in to the portal. Use it to introduce your business or set expectations (e.g. "Welcome to Smith Plumbing's client portal. View your quotes, pay invoices and track your jobs here.").

5
Save and preview the portal

Click Save branding. A preview link appears below the form so you can check how the portal looks before sending it to customers. The preview uses your live branding settings.

Your portal URL is yourcompanyname.trade2base.com — contact support to set up a custom domain (e.g. portal.yourcompany.co.uk).

Frequently asked questions

Can I use my own domain for the portal?

Yes. Contact support at support@trade2base.com to set up a custom domain (e.g. portal.yourcompany.co.uk). Custom domains are available on the Pro and Business plans.

Can I add my terms and conditions to the portal?

Yes. Go to Settings > Customer Portal > Terms and paste your terms and conditions text. A link to your terms appears in the portal footer, and customers are prompted to accept them before approving a quote.

Can I hide certain sections from customers?

Yes. In Settings > Customer Portal > Visibility, you can choose which sections customers can see. You can hide job history, the messaging tab, or the documents section if they are not relevant to your workflow.

Does the portal look good on mobile?

Yes. The customer portal is fully responsive and works on all modern smartphones and tablets. Customers can approve quotes, pay invoices and view job updates from any device.
