Managing your notification preferences

Trade2Base sends notifications for new jobs, quote acceptances, invoice payments, customer messages and engineer updates. You can choose which notifications you receive and how — email, in-app, SMS or push notification on mobile.

How to manage your notifications

1
Go to Settings > Notifications

In the main navigation, open Settings and select Notifications from the left-hand menu.

2
Review the notification list

Each event type has toggles for Email, In-app, SMS and Push. Scroll through the full list to see every notification type available.

3
Enable or disable each channel per event type

Toggle each channel on or off independently. For example, you might want email and push notifications for invoice payments but only in-app notifications for new messages.

4
Set your quiet hours

Notifications will not be sent during quiet hours (e.g. 10pm–7am). Set your quiet hours start and end time to avoid being disturbed outside working time.

5
Save

Click Save preferences. Changes apply immediately across all your devices.

SMS notifications require a verified phone number. Go to Account > Profile to add or verify your mobile number before enabling SMS notifications.

Frequently asked questions

Can different team members have different notification settings?

Yes. Notification preferences are per-user, not per-account. Each team member can log in and configure their own notification settings independently.

Can I get a daily digest instead of individual notifications?

Yes. In Settings > Notifications, scroll to the Digest section and enable Daily summary. You will receive one email each morning summarising activity from the previous day instead of individual notifications.

Do customers get notified when I change their job?

Only if you choose to notify them. When you update a job, Trade2Base offers an option to send the customer a notification. You can enable automatic customer notifications for specific events in Settings > Customer Notifications.

What happens to notifications when I am on holiday?

You can pause all notifications temporarily. Go to Settings > Notifications and toggle Pause all notifications, then set a resume date. Notifications will automatically resume when you return.
