View and Manage the Team Schedule
The team schedule gives you a real-time, colour-coded view of every job across your whole crew. You can see who is doing what, spot gaps, and make changes without leaving the calendar — from switching views to dragging jobs to new slots.
Switching between day, week and month views
Open Schedule from the sidebar. At the top-right of the calendar you will find three view buttons: Day, Week, and Month. Click any of them to switch instantly.
Shows a single day split into hourly rows. Best for seeing every job in detail and managing a busy day at a glance.
Shows Monday to Sunday across seven columns. Ideal for planning the upcoming week, spotting free slots, and moving jobs between days.
Shows the full calendar month with job counts per day. Use this to get a high-level picture of workload and identify slow or busy periods.
Trade2Base remembers the last view you used, so next time you open the schedule it opens in the same mode.
Filtering the schedule by engineer
When you have multiple engineers, the schedule can get busy. Use the Filter by engineer control at the top of the calendar to show only one person's jobs. Click the engineer's name or avatar in the filter bar to toggle them on or off. You can show a single engineer, a subset of the team, or everyone at once.
Trade2Base assigns a colour to each engineer automatically. In Week and Month view, job blocks are colour-coded by engineer so you can see at a glance who is working where, even before you filter.
Reading colour-coded job statuses
Each job block on the calendar also has a status indicator along its left edge. The colours follow the same scheme used throughout Trade2Base:
Drag-and-drop rescheduling
In Day and Week view, you can drag any job block to a new time slot. Click and hold the block, drag it to where you want it, and release. Trade2Base saves the new time immediately. If the customer has notifications enabled, they receive an automatic update about the change.
To move a job to a different day, use Week view and drag the block across day columns. You can also resize the block from its bottom edge to extend or shorten the job duration without opening the job record.
If two jobs overlap for the same engineer, both blocks are highlighted in amber and a conflict badge appears. Trade2Base will not prevent you from saving, but the warning stays visible until you resolve the overlap by moving one job, reassigning it, or adjusting its duration.
Printing or sharing the schedule
Click the Share / Print button in the top-right of the schedule. You have two options:
Opens the browser print dialog with a clean, printer-friendly layout. The current view (day, week, or month) and any active engineer filters are included in the printout.
Generates a read-only shareable link to the current schedule view. Anyone with the link can see the schedule but cannot make changes. The link reflects today's view and does not update automatically.
You can also sync the Trade2Base schedule with Google Calendar or Outlook — see Calendar sync for setup instructions.
