Upgrade or Downgrade Your Trade2Base Plan

Trade2Base offers four subscription tiers — Solo, Team, Pro, and Scale — so you can grow without switching tools. Whether you need more engineers, advanced reporting, or white-label branding, changing your plan takes less than a minute and your data is always preserved.

Understanding the four plans

Each plan is designed around the size and complexity of your trade business:

Solo

Designed for self-employed tradespeople working alone. Includes unlimited jobs, quotes, and invoices for a single user. Full AI features and Stripe payments are included.

Team

For small businesses with up to five engineers. Adds team scheduling, engineer assignment, and shared inbox so your whole crew stays on the same page.

Pro

Unlimited engineers, advanced reporting, Xero and QuickBooks accounting integrations, CSV exports, and expense tracking. Best for growing businesses with multiple vans on the road.

Scale

Everything in Pro plus white-label customer portal, priority support, custom automations, and dedicated onboarding. Built for established contractors managing high job volumes.

How to change your plan

1
Open Settings

Click the gear icon at the bottom of the Trade2Base sidebar to open your account Settings.

2
Go to Billing

Select "Billing & Plan" from the Settings menu. You will see your current plan highlighted along with the other available tiers.

3
Choose your new plan

Click "Upgrade" or "Downgrade" on the plan you want to move to. A confirmation dialog will show your new monthly price and any prorated charge or credit.

4
Confirm the change

Click "Confirm change". The switch is immediate. You will receive a confirmation email and a prorated invoice or credit note within a few minutes.

How prorated charges work

Trade2Base calculates prorated charges automatically so you only pay for what you use.

Upgrading mid-cycle

If you upgrade from Team to Pro halfway through your billing month, Trade2Base charges you for the remaining days of the month at the Pro rate, minus the unused days you already paid at the Team rate. The difference is charged immediately to your card on file.

Downgrading mid-cycle

When you downgrade, Trade2Base applies a credit for the unused days at the higher rate. This credit is applied to your next invoice automatically — you will not receive a cash refund, but you also won't be charged again until the credit is used up.

Annual plans

If you are on an annual plan and want to change tier, contact support@trade2base.com and we will calculate the exact adjustment for you.

What happens to your data

Your jobs, customers, quotes, and invoices are always safe regardless of which plan you are on.

Upgrading

All your existing data remains intact and new features become immediately available. For example, upgrading from Solo to Team unlocks engineer profiles and scheduling tools that you can populate at your own pace.

Downgrading

If you have data that exceeds the lower plan's limits — for example, eight engineers on a Team plan that allows five — you will be prompted to archive the extra engineer profiles before the downgrade completes. Archived profiles retain all their historical job data and can be restored if you upgrade again.

Immediate vs end-of-period changes

By default, all plan changes take effect immediately. If you would prefer to downgrade at the end of your current billing period rather than right now, select “Schedule for end of period” in the confirmation dialog. This means you keep your current plan's features until your renewal date, then the lower plan activates with no prorated credit. You can cancel a scheduled downgrade at any time before it processes.

Cancelling your account

Cancelling is different from downgrading. If you cancel, your account moves to a read-only state at the end of the billing period. You can still log in and download your data, but you cannot create new jobs or invoices. To cancel, go to Settings → Billing → Cancel subscription.
