Generating a Job Completion Report PDF
A job completion report is a professional PDF summary of everything that happened on a job — checklist results, photos, engineer notes, sign-offs, and any certificates issued. You can generate one from any completed job and send it directly to the customer.
How to generate a job completion report
Open the job from the Jobs list. Click the "Actions" button in the top-right corner of the job screen and select "Generate job report" from the dropdown menu.
Choose which sections to include: job details (description, dates, engineer, address), checklist results (with timestamps), photos, engineer sign-off, customer sign-off, and any certificates attached to the job. Toggle each section on or off.
Click "Generate PDF". The report is compiled and downloads to your device as a PDF file. This usually takes a few seconds depending on the number of photos included.
From the same screen, you can send the report directly to the customer via email or WhatsApp without leaving Trade2Base. The report is attached to the message automatically.
Job completion reports are ideal for landlords, letting agents, and property managers who require documented evidence of work carried out.
What can be included in the report
Job title, description, scheduled and completed dates, engineer name, and job address.
All checklist items with their completion status and the timestamp of when each item was ticked by the engineer.
Before and after photos, or any photos added during the job. Each photo includes the timestamp and the engineer who uploaded it.
The engineer's digital signature and the date and time they marked the job as complete.
If the customer signed off on the job via the mobile app or customer portal, their signature and timestamp is included.
Any certificates attached to the job (e.g. Gas Safe certificate, EICR, Part P certificate) are appended to the end of the report.
