Understanding Your Trade2Base Subscription

Trade2Base offers four plans to fit businesses of every size. This article explains what each plan includes, how billing works, and how to upgrade, downgrade, pause, or cancel your subscription.

What is included in each plan

Solo
1 user

Perfect for a sole trader. Includes all core features: jobs, quotes, invoices, Stripe payments, and the customer portal.

Team
Up to 5 users

For small teams. All Solo features plus team scheduling, engineer mobile app access, and team performance reports.

Business
Up to 15 users

For growing businesses. All Team features plus advanced automations, custom statuses, bulk invoicing, and priority support.

Enterprise
Unlimited users

For large operations. All Business features plus dedicated account management, custom integrations, and SLA-backed support.

Monthly vs annual billing

You can pay monthly or annually. Choosing annual billing saves you 20% compared to paying month by month — the discount is applied automatically at checkout.

Monthly billing

Your card is charged on the same date each month. You can cancel at any time and your account stays active until the end of the current period.

Annual billing

Your card is charged once per year. You save 20% vs monthly. The renewal date is 12 months from your sign-up date.

Viewing your billing date

Go to Settings → Billing → Subscription. Your next billing date is shown at the top of the page alongside your current plan and payment method.

Reaching your plan's user limit

If you try to add a user beyond your plan's limit — for example, adding a second engineer on the Solo plan — Trade2Base will show an upgrade prompt. You must upgrade to a higher plan before the new user can be added. No existing data or access is affected.

Upgrading and downgrading your plan

1
Upgrading mid-cycle

Go to Settings → Billing → Change Plan and select a higher plan. You are charged the prorated difference immediately — for example, if you upgrade halfway through a monthly cycle, you pay half the price difference. The new plan takes effect instantly.

2
Downgrading your plan

Go to Settings → Billing → Change Plan and select a lower plan. The downgrade takes effect at your next renewal date. You keep all features of your current plan until then.

Pausing your subscription

If you need a break — for example, between seasons or during a quiet period — you can pause your subscription for up to 3 months. During a pause, billing stops and your account is placed in read-only mode. You cannot add new jobs or send new invoices while paused, but all existing data is preserved.

How to pause

Go to Settings → Billing → Pause Subscription. Select your pause duration (1, 2, or 3 months) and confirm. Your account will resume automatically at the end of the pause period.

Cancelling your subscription

You can cancel at any time from Settings → Billing → Cancel Subscription. After cancelling, your account remains fully active until the end of your current billing period. At that point, your account moves to a free read-only state — you can still view and export your data but cannot create new records.

Note: cancelling does not delete your data. If you return within 90 days, your account can be reactivated and all data is still accessible.

Frequently asked questions

Can I switch between monthly and annual billing?

Yes. Go to Settings → Billing → Subscription and click "Change billing frequency". Switching from monthly to annual takes effect immediately and you receive the 20% discount on your next charge. Switching from annual to monthly takes effect at your next renewal date.

What payment methods are accepted?

Trade2Base accepts all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express). Payment is processed securely by Stripe.

Where can I download my billing invoices?
